Danville’s
Talk Station, 1490 WDAN signed on the air in Danville in October
1938.
Since that time, Danville’s oldest station has served to inform,
educate and entertain area residents. Programming includes a
heavy commitment of local news, weather, sports and talk
programs. When Danville needs to know, they tune to 1490 WDAN,
Danville’s Talk Station.

Programming Highlights begin
at 5AM with Daybreak USA. Bill Pickett brings you local news
beginning at 6am. Farm news is provided by the Brownfield Radio
Network. Talk programs include the G. Gordon Liddy Show, The
Radio Factor with Bill O’Reilly, and Sean Hannity. Coach Frank
Luzenske hosts the “Community Connection” every weekday at
7:35am, and “Vermilion County Today” at 12:35pm. Other local
programs include “School Time”, “Catch Ya At DACC”, the Thursday
Night Sports Roundtable, Saturday Morning Sports Talk & the
Garden Show. ESPN Radio airs every night, and all weekend
long. We also bring you St. Louis Cardinals Baseball, the Indy
Racing League, Indianapolis Colts Football, Fighting Illini
Sports, DACC Basketball and lots of High School action
throughout the year. And don’t forget, CBS News at the top of
every hour.

PEOPLE YOU MAY REMEMBER
WDAN has a long and
storied history. We are most proud of the hundreds of
talented announcers and staff that have served WDAN and
the Danville radio listeners well. Among those include
two now famous names in the entertainment business.
